Introduced at the International Elevator Trade Fair "Interlift 99" in Augsburg, the Drive System specialist Blocher Motor GmbH is setting a trend introducing the new Total Gearless METEORITE MFD for all elevator systems. At the core is the direct synchronous power transmission to the sheave while the fully integrated motor has a totally new cooling design with hardly any maintenance ever to become necessary.
Utilizing standard parts, further reduces the production cost and offers the highest degree of compatibility: Blocher's METEORITE gearless MFD fit about every elevator system in operation today worldwide, regardless whether geared or hydraulic units.
The gearless motor is a direct drive, synchronous motor with capacity from 600 lbs to 4400 lbs. It has lifetime lubricated bearings, dual safety brake, a fully integrated frequency inverter option with standard voltage and frequency values.
These are presently being installed in New York City.
